Adding Events on Do502

Do502 is committed to helping you find the best of what to do in Louisville, and we want to keep this space open, inclusive and helpful to everyone. As such, we have some simple rules.

A listing may include; name, location, presenting sponsor, phone number, price, website, and corporate logos / slogans used only with correct permissions.  A listing may not include; qualitative or comparative descriptions, or disparaging remarks about other persons or entities.

Do502 reserves the right to reject listings. Reasons for rejection include:

  • The appeal of your event is to a niche audience that can be targeted in more effective ways.
  • Your event is not open to everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, social class or gender/sexual identity.
  • We do not post events by political parties or events that we believe could lead to illegal activities or inspire hatred.
  • Language or intent that could adversely affect the reputation or financial condition of Do502 or its parent company, DoStuff Media.

If you don't already have permissions to add events, send us an email and let us know who you are, we're always thrilled to meet new people!

Have permissions and want some guidelines? We got you...

It’s not really essential to put an end time, especially if the end time is the following day, but its a single day event.

If you have something that runs Friday, Sat, Sun for example, set the start date as Fri and end date Sun, and then email me, i’ll make sure it shows up on the front page every day.

Ideal Header image specs are: 1200x450

Please upload a header image with no text on it.

Poster image should be at least 450px wide

Once all those specifics are in, hit save and it will take you to you new event page. Under the poster image, if you uploaded one, you will see an editable text box for the description. You can go to town with the formatting on this, add bolded text, gifs, videos, but please go into the code editor ( < / >) once your done and add <p></p> tags. That’s just for uniformity on the site.

Make sure to hit Save (appears under the header once you start editing).
